After many years of buying and using spinner duck decoys I had enough of them falling off the top of the stick into the pond when guys were picking them up while in the boat.
The whole thing can be done for under $50.00. It is the functionality I was looking for rather than the cost savings. My buddy calls them the 'Headless Voodoo Duck'.
If I ever find a dog that has half the drive at three or four that he has at 12-1/2 I’ll be money ahead.

Hunting on a point-sand bar type area at a local Ohio reservoir. No brush, no treeline, no drift wood. Nothing for hundreds of yards. Just dried mud from where they lowered the water level and lots of small stones.
So with deer season coming around and many people taking a youngster, sometimes their own children or those of others, the debate always rages on between some folks on my state forums.
I was watching some youtube videos, and I watched some guys cut down some corn and then use it in making their blinds. I was under the impression that cutting flooded corn would expose the corn and that you couldn't cut it unless the cobs had been removed. Can someone clarify this for me.
