Where's the plane? Flight 370

Why is it taking so long to find this plane.
A dozen planes and 40 ships and they can't find a Boeing 777 with
about 240 aboard.Crazy.

Should have a transponder track to plot and an Emergency Locator Beacon to follow. Finding small/private planes can be hard - finding a major airliner should not be that difficult.

The Air France crash in 2009 took almost 5 days to find. The ocean is pretty big. And those transponders and emergency beacons don't do much good 2,000 down on the bottom of sea bed.

It's probably crashed in the swamps of LA, and some Cajun already turned the plane into a condo duck blind.

It's a Malaysian plane.
I'd bet they don't adhere to the FAA rules like the US does.

Still, seems like something fishy is up....

Regretfully I would think the bottom of the South China Sea unless it was hijacked and taken somewhere.

You're right, they don't adhere to FAA rules, as that is a US agency ...

Malaysia adheres to ICAO standards and is a council member state ... just like the FAA adheres to ICAO standards and the US is also a council member state.

What I would like to know is what evidence do they have that the aircraft is in the water or broke up over the water. According to flightaware.com (which is generally very accurate) they should be searching over land. Last know coorespondence from the trasponder has them over 50 miles inland.

Yep...that's a decent thought. Hijacked and flown to many of the "pirate" countries in the area. I would think however by now we'd have heard something. Let's pray that's the case considering the alternative.

Considering the military intelligence significance in the area I wonder if the search is being impeded by the Chinese. Especially. in their waters or near North Korea.
