Seasons will be set...Dates will be set...Rain dances will be done!

November 3rd S/E opener for ducks...

    November 10th opener for Pheasants!

Lots of money tied to those two days!

August 21; meeting to be held at the Wetlands Education Center at Cheyenne Bottoms. Maybe we'll know the regs at that time.

Let's shoot for 10th for the opener or the 17th. Couple more weeks for more rain chances.

I agree we need some water in order to waterfowl hunt. If it stays like this it will be Fall Turkey hunting for me .

They keep getting later and later each year??????

In 1982 the season opened Low plains Kansas on October 16th!

In 1992 the season opened Low plains Kansas on October 19th!

In 2002 the season opened Low plains Kansas on October 26th!

    Last year was November 5th?

I would say that we have moved our season back plenty for the S/E zone...The first Saturday in November is my vote!

I for one enjoy the early season! Camping is possible and there always seems to be ducks around...Maybe not alot of Mallards but plenty to keep the common public hunter engaged!

Most, me included, would have no problem with the late start in the SE zone if it did not include Flint Hills NWR and MDC. The late start for these areas is a joke.

Its the guides that want the later season!
It is hard to sell hunts for little ducks!
