Do any of you have a Hastings Wadlock barrel on an Auto 5 or a Remington 1100? What do you think about the patterns from factory ammo and or handloads? What about choke selection?

I have a 30" , 3" chamber 1100 barrel, I've only shot a couple boxes shells through it, it throws nice patterns

My 3 " 1100 26" Wadlock barrel does a fine job with its IC choke , I prefer to shoot a Overbored barrel with steel shot tho !

You're mistaken, its for a 12 gauge. My 10 gauge already does it fine.

Regardless if it is a Auto-5 or 1100, the actual barrel is the same, the differences between them is how they mate, barrel extension, lug, rib height and design.

I tried extended tubes in mine with poor results. I ordered all the factory flush chokes and was amazed at how much better it patterned. I put one on both a Light 12 and Mag 12 Auto-5s after patterning the Light 12. It is just as good as the Invector Plus barrels in regards to the patterns. I only shoot up to #3s in them though.

Are they better than a Jap barrel with invector chokes?

Is there a new source for these barrels? I thought Hastings closed and sold the remaining stock at auction years ago.

I think so, I replaced an Invector Plus barrel on the 3" gun with a Hastings

    Yes, they are readily available
