Its that time of the year when i need/like to buy myself my Christmas present, and of course this present will need to feed my obsession...so there is really no other choice than a new duck call to add to the collection.

Ive read/heard enough time ,on this forum, about the legendary JJ Lares and RM calls. So from either, but not both at the moment, Id like to add to my collection a duck call. I have zero personal experience with either and know almost nothing about the different models that each produce....I was hoping that the collection of experienced callers on this forum could help me become a bit smarter about the pro and cons of each producers calls and their different models they offer.

This call will be one that is blown around the house and hunted. Im not looking for a delicate work of art but instead a well built duck convincing machine...and if its attractive to boot then that is a plus.

An all around call that has both a great top end and excellent bottom end is what im after, when in doubt id sacrifice top end over absolute bottom end duckiness.

    Thanks in advance.

Latest t1 small bore is whats on my lanyard. I run a 1.360 reed and get great volume and low end. To be fair I haven't tried a CWF from RM to compare.

How does the T-1 fair in moist conditions, is it prone to sticking?

Fantastic, it's the only call I've ever owned that has never stuck, not even once. They handle moisture better than any call I have owned.

I have them all but the T1 is my go to.

Lares t1 with a 1.375 reed. I feel this question comes up often. You can't go wrong with either companies calls. I feel they are two of the best calls offered on the market today, so this is a tough question for anyone looking for a quality duck call. I feel lares is a little better hunting call because they are harder to stick, and I feel more confident with one. Rm makes a great call for sure, I will just always reach for my lares in a hunting situation.

Of the two I'd go with a CWF hands down.
