Personally I would build a hunt deck(one large pod) on the back. You will increase length and move the motor out of the way plus add extra floatation.

All done welding. Long project but learned a lot. Picking it up today and mounting motor.

Hear is how I reinforced my transom on my 1648 Alumacrat to hold up to my Moded MB Black Death 45. Boatis 8 years old and has nothing but Big Block Surfacedrives on it. 100_0075.JPG 100_0076.JPG

Maiden voyage. Half throttle got me into the 40’s. I had a pretty good leak around a rivet That needs to be touched up. Definitely way to much power but had to see for myself. Fun yes. Practical no. Might take it on a hunt just because of its awesome load carrying capabilities. The electric tilt in combo with the jack plate had her on plane within seconds. Made two quick adjustments and she was running good. I’ll probably throw the 30 back on for rest of duck season and hang onto 90 for bigger boat. Thinking of having an uncle j built this winter if funds allow.
