    That's a good start.

While elk hunting I saw quite a few tanks with birds on them.

Though not a resident of your awesome state, I hunt there. So far, it has been very slow. Hitting it next weekend, hoping for success. It is long overdue!

Hit the river in the usual spots we talk about and the reports I have seen have been great.

I've been out twice this season so far after having never hunted ducks in Arizona my whole life.

The second time out was a special, special day for me. Somehow my amazing fiance was talked into going with me. I decided to make this hunt as simple as possible and so we just jumped ducks off a creek near where I live. She was extremely tentative at first, did not like the climb down a cliff to get to the spot.

I immediately spotted a duck before we even got to the water and so the hunt was one. Trying to shoot a duck through trees is more difficult than I imagined and I missed on the first chance. She was given the job of binocular holder/spotter and really got into it. It was great to see her interested and involved with trying to spot ducks.

Twice she spotted them before I did. Many times I where I thought ducks would be lounging they weren't and then in spots where I thought they had no business being they were there. I'm learning and after a few times of busting them before in shooting range I kinda figured out where they were resting at.

We ended up with two ducks. At first she was kinda grossed out and then started asking questions about them. She wouldn't even touch a bird while I was holding it at first, and by the end she was carrying them for me.

One of my best hunting days ever.

Thanks for your help guys in reigniting the passion.

Here are a few pics from the hunt.
