So the season has started up north and we're 1 week away down here in SE (Sept 16), so how's it going so far, or what are you doing to get ready?

I've purchased a new secret weapon, but I haven't done much else yet. :l

I was on vacation, and while driving thru the city of Kenai I saw two hunters walking out of the flats and both looked like they had limits. Looked like mostly teal. I saw a lot of ducks farther north. Was there first two weeks of Sept. Saw the most ducks around Anchorage and also a lot of birds around Homer.

I haven't made it out yet, but I've heard plenty of shooting!

    Maybe this weekend...

Erich, if you get bored up there once the season closes you're more than welcome to come down and hunt with me. I just moved back to the West coast and I'm now in Petaluma California (just above San Fransisco). I'll let you know how the season is going once we start piling them up. We never did get to hunt together when I lived up there in Alaska.

Thanks for the offer! I don't have any travel in the budget this year, but maybe someday... ;)
