Hey there. About to turn 30K and heard some stories about oddball things going early like Water pumps. Anyone have anything to report on this "pre aluminum" model?
    Thanks,
    Chip

My dad has a 13 with the 5.0 and is at about 60k. He hasn't had any problems with his.

2009 F-150 Super Crew 4x4, 5.4 engine, 53,000 miles. No engine or trans problems. Had to replace leaking pinion seal in rear at 45,000 miles, broken right front coil spring at 52,000 miles. No other problems.

FIL has a 2012(ish) model. Only issue I know about (and he HATES telling me about his vehicle issues) was a leaking exhaust gasket. He hasn't had the coil pack or the park plug issues like he had with his older one. BTW, he puts 40K or more a year on his vehicles.

Great news. Love the truck. Has actually turned into our "family" vehicle. I use it for work too so put on just over 23k the first year. Ouch

Went with the ecoboost 3.5L 2012. I have 58,000 miles on it. So far.....left side turbo , left side turbo (second time), throttle body replaced, both cats replaced, plugs fouled and replaced, timing chains (3) stretched and replaced, phasers replaced. Lemon.
