I've already seen a good number And mix of species flying. Should be a good year if we can keep water in the marshes

I have decided that I am BLOCKING posts from western Nebraska cause that **** is a different planet. Lol

Fall is most definitely in the air!! First blue wings were spotted buzzing the river a week-ish ago. We have been getting some rain recently but I doubt the local natural marshes will hold much due to them being tiled when the grain prices jumped. the amount of rain that area got last year in a short amount of time, was the reason that area held teal like the rwb, I doubt we see another like it for many many years.

On the other hand, the water table will make river hunts for us "walk-in losers" a matter of life and death. Lol

    Yeah, it's good stuff.

Got some pics last year of the boys shooting mallards in the corrals by the highway. Decoying mallards into...tumble weeds?!?! :l

Managed 7 bwt on the opener. We weren't on the x and it hurt us. Came back Monday and we got 20 BTW. Saw an increase in pintails on Monday. It was great to be out and get my pup some work. Saturday was the hottest duck hunt I think I've ever been on.
