Figured I'd just make on thread and post updates for anyone who might be interested in following along.

Today I hunted at the Ruby Lake Refuge with Dakota and his boss. Got into Elko last night around 5 and met Dakota for dinner at the Star Hotel. We proceeded to eat a "light dinner" and then headed out to the Ruby Valley where Dakota calls home. There were lots of guys hunting a not so big area, so birds working wasn't really going to happen much, but we had a great time and managed to bring home a few birds. I ended the day with a teal and 3 mallards and I believe Dakota got a mallard and 2 gadwalls. It was a learning experience for all and I'm sure Dakota will put everything he gained today to good use later on. The ruby Valley is an awesome place. It's almost like stepping back in time. I loved it there. I brought along on of my cork mallards and she will be in the water every time decoys go out. Thanks again Dakota for the great time! Kind of short post, but I'm tired and it's bedtime...gonna be in Woland, Wyoming tomorrow and start looking for antelope on Monday.

Traveled to Worland, Wyoming last night and today. Stayed at the Best Western hotel in Evanston, Wyoming last night and it was probably the best hotel room I have ever had. King bed, couch, chair, coffee table, desk, etc, etc. The hotel also has a very good restaurant in house. Room after taxes was $119. On the way through Thermopolis, Wyoming we stopped at the Days Inn to check out all the pictures and mounts. The guy who used to own the place was a world traveling hunter. Later in life is would archery shoot critters with tranquilizer arrows so he could do catch and release hunting. If you're ever in Thermopolis make sure and check it out...it's well worth the stop.
