Took a ride from Potosi to Cassville yesterday. From what I could see the river is froze all the way across. Saw 2 mallards on a small creek.

While this isn't quite "fowl hunting" The wife and I spent 9 days in the pan handle of Florida. I could only stand staring at the water for so long and booked a half-day fishing trip for Red fish. Was money well spent! Landed close to two dozen reds with the smallest being about 20" and the biggest being 32.75" Highlight was landing a 31" on a small johnson silver minnow on light tackle. Was an absolute hoot!

Yes. They match the truck and boats. Plus the animals don’t care.

I want to see the Chevy turn 400,000. It’s close buddy, now you have to shoot for that as a goal.

-16 when I parked my truck this morning. Been trying to call one of these buggers in for 10+ years. Nearly gave up many times. Left a switch on my FoxPro last time I used it so batteries were dead. Luckily I always carry a hand call as a backup. About 20 minutes into the stand this big female came bouncing in. Stopped at about 60 yards facing me. 55 grain Vmax from the bolt action .223 put her down. What a rush! Cold didn't seem as bad after that.

Got to see and hunt with some friends. I was lucky enough to spend opener with Grace Sept 1 in AK and her last hunt of the season on Friday in NV. Shot a cinnamon so down to three on the list.
