Mack I miss the pecans Harld Plackemeire use to give us.He always had a truck full.
I like me some pecan pie!!!!!
As for ducks not much going on right now at our place. Hoping the colder weather gets them in our corn (before 5:30 every night preferably). Ice eater is in, pump is running and buffet is open!!!! Cmon Mr Green!!!!
I would spend all day today making chili, red beans & rice, chicken noodle soup, anything for shore lunch, because you won't want to leave the blind later this week!
spent the weekend retouching up the blinds... getting cold weather stuff in... ice eater staged, generator running, gas cans filled... ready for Wednesday!! Be riding our holes for the next week or so
Sorry guys my enthusiasm is going away. Only fields left north of the river that have not been plowed under are leased. I can't help but think the mallards won't be here long.
Field reports coming in is that it hasn't happened yet. Swan seems to be losing birds.
I'm hoping NW wind tomorrow brings some in. Fingers crossed
yup nothing happened with the front so far.... hoping these next 7 days of NW wind brings birds, not going to be a grand migration, just new birds.....
NW never happened in my area today (near FG). Strong West wind. Saw more birds than we’ve been seeing but they were hitting flooded corn midday. I left at 2 and they were still dropping into it. Friend of mine said the Mac pools were awesome this morning with quick limits.
Anyone have any predictions? Forecast up north doesn’t look like it’s getting super cold after this weekend.
