2017 Migration Reports

    Bootheel and S.IL are loaded up already. This comes after the last 4 days of duck carn.

    Ill be in the bootheel for the snow goose opener on the 7th. The freezing rain forcast I don't like!

    Watched 2,000+ canadas and a few snows hop between fields all week but couldn't get a hold of any of the property owners. The birds I was hunting all scattered when the water started opening back up.
    Haven't seen any big flocks of snows yet.

    They have been thick in the burbs for awhile...Cam has been spankin them for so long he prolly he skips a day...checked out last MDC count for ducks...85,000 mallards at Montrose....Wow! Should of been on my back in that area....

    Was pretty good goose season on the east side as well especially compared to past few years, and they have scattered and moved north with the warm-up for the most part. Saw high birds heading north today.

    Our weather continues to be crazy...50+ degree weather swings are pretty common. I have noticed several large flights of snow geese headed north, I wonder if these are flights of adult birds headed to the breeding grounds?
