Was in Mound City hunting on the north side of the refuge. My small silo spread (275) wasn't what the big flocks were wanting but we were seeing consistent bird movement from daylight until 10am, they started coming back to the refuge around 11:30-noon. Flights woulds start back up around 4:15. Lots of adults. Shot a few ross geese and a few snows, no blues for us but plenty around. Had some neighbors do well over a large spread. Need to add more decoys next weekend. I think with the storm upcoming to the north, the first week of march will be fantastic around Squaw

There's still plenty of geese in Arkansas. Buddy shot 36 today.

Been outside all day today and never saw or heard the first white goose. Granted there was very little wind but still.

From my experience.....pre CO....you're not gonna kill a ton of spring snow geese with a silo spread. They want to work vertical and when they do they lose the flat decoys.
I'd hunt the old Texas rags before I would silos.

Whoever shot 34 in Arkansas today must have found a juvie feed and swatted them.....zero wind didnt lead to a 35 bird decoy shoot

I guess I should have clarified. When I said silo I meant silo-socks. I didnt know anyone used silhouettes for snows.

More birds migrating last night over eastern MO north of STL. I heard birds everytime I was outside from 8-10PM. Didn't see any flying the Miss river this morning at daylight.

Had birds over the house last night. I would say maybe 3-4 flocks , all at night in the dark. I live just south of Webster.
