WOW , I like the way you hunt ! These small gauges will do the job , especially if you reload for them ?
I know my 28 Goose loads will do the job along with my Sporting loads for clays.......what is there not to like ?
Nice pictures , who represent a lot of foot-steps !
I like the Winchester high brass 1 oz. loads at 1205 for the 28. This is the only thing I use for smaller birds.. I will shoot the 28 if there is snow, I don't care what upland bird it is and what size it is.. if its dry and the birds are bigger like grouse or chucks... I usually shoot a 20, 1 1/8 or 1 1/4 loads.. With super steep terrain its fun carrying the 28, trust me!
At my buddies place its 20 gauge or smaller. I hate shooting 4-10's. But fun shooting honks and greenbeans in the hole with oz. loads or less. I didn't shoot the wigeon...
Here is one to cool everybody off a bit....
Awesome Pics!!!! Keep them coming!!!!!
Early season .. remember to keep your hunting partner cool.
Good camo huh? Makes you want to slow down next time you are out in the field...... Did you notice the other birds in the original pic on this thread? For me Duskies are just about impossible to see in the trees. You really got look hard. Its easy when they fly up one however... lol
Here's a few to get people excited!
