I am in awe of the job Pat Pitt did for me. It turned out awesome!

Backstory: I've been hunting Arkansas timber for 30+ years. I personally have never killed a pintail in the timber, only in fields. This past duck season, everything was pretty locked up but we had a small bit of open water in our hole. 7 of us hunting. Several groups of mallards working us and 7 pintail come flying over. As they come over the hole, with the hen in the lead, she turns on a dime and the rest follow and fall straight from the sky. We shot all 7 at about 10 feet off the water. We were all in shock.

So, that's the reason for all 7 mounted together, all the drakes surrounding the hen and coming through the trees.

That may be the coolest mount I have ever seen.

That is awesome!!! The question is if all seven of you shot a duck, who gets to keep the mount??? Or will it be like a traveling trophy?

Beautiful mount. I remember when 7 Pintails was a days limit for one hunter in California. Now the limit is 1 Pintail per day, per hunter. Sad, because there are days when we sit in the blind completely surrounded by Pintails...waiting for some other duck to fly by.

Considering the $ came out of my pocket, I don't plan on moving it anywhere. :) I mentioned the idea of getting them all done together, so the other guys were all good with the idea.

That's cool that everyone was ok with you mounting those birds. There is no way I would share either lol
