Wow, cool story and awesome mount!
Mr. Pitt & Sons have long been the best a preserving waterfowl for the ages. And he is the exception in that artistic field, because he has always given the customer exactly what they pay for - plus a good-bit more. He has elevated the art-form and that indicates a most unique talent.
To paraphrase the-late George Bird Evans who compiled The Best of Nash Buckingham: "...He (Mr. Pitt) elevates the taxidermy art form above the act of mere doing..."
Good job killing that hen. We won't have to worry about her producing any more ducklings. But at least now you can look at her and remember what a hen Pintail looks like.
Wild Rice , be careful when your shooting with a group you could fall off your holier than thou waterfowling high horse, I have known Mossy for many moons and he is a an outstanding waterfowler with high ethics,,, if you want to slam on someone pick any of the young flat billed wearing spinner toting punks that are a real detriment to the future sport of waterfowling. An outstanding mount to preserve an outstanding memory!
Wow nice mount...sometimes courtship flights will start during the season and cause pintails to do some whacky things with groups of drakes chasing a hen
Yup, turned out awesome! Great to be able to have that to remember that memory with your buddies. And they can appreciate it, as well, whenever they come to visit.
Awesome mount! Don't let the kids pull out the pin feathers, like mine did!
