That has to be one if not the best mounts I've ever seen. We see a lot of mallard like that but not pintail too much. Really doesn't matter what state your from, it's a gorgeous mount with an even better story to go with.
Dude that mount is amazing! I've been chasing a pintail for some years and never seen them during duck season. They seem to show up in massive numbers during the snow goose season though haha.
That is beautiful. I have a very plain gadwall mounted that everyone wanders why. I was going through a pretty rough time in my life and a gentleman that I had only spoke with on line invited me on a hunt. He had been through a similar experience as I and could relate. We had 3 ducks fall into the hole and we had three shooters. He said take them and with what sounded like one shot all three fell dead. We all shot at the same time and somehow all picked a different duck and somehow we all hit our target. But really the mount reminds me of the friendship that was made and the hospitality that was give to me. An experience I will never forget. I also have a greenhead mounted from that trip. We were lined up on a creek and the first duck of the day was spotted making its way down the creek. It was approaching fro the opposite side from me and I expected the first guy to fire away. Both men to my left didn't shoulder their gun and let me have it. I've hunted with several that would have killed it before I knew it was there. Duck hunting the way it should be!
Cool story, beautiful birds, but never once seen pins do it like that. That's a mallard scene, not a pin scene
