A few pics from this year's elk hunt

    Snow on the first day of the hunt hampered visibility.

    By the next day the weather had completely changed. The bull I got was the pick of this herd of about 100 scattered through the scrub oak.

    This was like an adolescent herd. A little 18 month old spike (same size as these large calves) was herding four large cow/calves the same age. It was sort of a strange sight.



    Stalked this bull the evening of the second day. I was pretty disappointed when I didn't get him. I figured I would never see him again. The next morning he was in the exact same location.

    2012 bull. I'm riding pretty high over this one. He is going on my wall.

    Good bull, and yes he will look great on the wall.
