Adding storage hatches to a Jon

    No issues. The hatch comes with a template so cutting the opening is easy. A knife was all i needed to cut out the styrofoam underneath. I did weld up a tray for the battery and attached it to the ribs under the seat and strapped the battery into it.

    Put one on a rear pod of my '04 1648 tracker grizzly; it is a Tempress 1115 and fit perfectly between the longitudinal supports. Foam removal was not difficult- weighed almost nothing so did not absorb much h20. I did put closed cell foam under my alum floor to partly offset the flotation loss. I also put my electric switch panel on that side. The plastic cover broke after five years, replaced last year. If I do it again will probably go alum or metal.
