Alamo lake state park HELP

    I wwant to take my son there and try to catch a couple crappies and maybe a bass or two,but I am having a hard time finding any info.I have a 17 foot aluminum with only a trolling moter,so big lakes are out. I will be driving down from Vegas .I don't need any honey holes,just launching info,baits shops near , anything to look out for.Thanks guys!!!!!!

    I don't get out there enough to help you but there is only one boat ramp in use at the south end but ive seen overs launch from the shore lines...

    You can stay at the state park there and launch your boat there.included in you site fees. Across the highway from the park entrance is an unofficial BLM campsite that usually has a few trailer/campers parked in it(I stay there when I coyote hunt in the area). There is also a commercial RV park close to the park.

    Last time there were some campers from MN that returned to their rv with quite a nice bucket of large crappies (last Feb.).
