Going to Alberta in early September. Anyone with experience have any input on how it can be that early. The guy we are going with said the honkers will be plentiful. That’s what sold it for me.

    What part of Alberta?

I've had some great hunting early season, obviously the further north you go likely the better the numbers

You should do quite well on an early sept hunt in that area of Alberta.
I live south of there by a few hours, birds are everywhere. With the amount of snow we have had this winter, water
shouldn't be an issue for a change. Here is hoping anyway!

One thing about Canada Beau is something will be different every year.iv been 22 yrs in a row the way I put it is the hand your dealt.that said Sept is fairly stable there after bout Oct 10 it's a crap shoot.20 to 60 deg.seems like the jets been dropping east of Alberta the last few yrs.early Sept though lots of brown ducks and geese that aren't to weary.

That’s the main reason I’m going. I want to kill some big honkers. Ducks will just be something to kill in the evening. I have never killed very many honkers so I’m looking forward to that.
