Set up a game cart to accompany the sled. All ready for the walk in!
Looks good Jerry!
What is the "walk" thing you speak of ?
Didn't someone already invent goodies called "boats", and "motors" and "trucks" and more importantly (albeit waaaay more expensive), "kids" to haul stuff ?
Ha ha Jim
Sold the boat years ago
Truck only goes so far
Kids are all grown up and gone or doin their own thing.
Doesn’t hurt an old fat guy to get a bit of walking in I reckon.
Call Bob and let him do the work.
What walk in(s) do you plan to hunt ?
Rice, Sanganois, Anderson, Emiquon.
Just remember applications to hunt Emiq are due soon (Oct 10), and the borrow ditch at Anderson is too deep to wade at most stakes.
Non traditional Emiq area.
We walked the ditch / levee today. Have a work around for that too.
Good heads up though
BTW, for guys that like to haul azz down the river to the walk in at Anderson, there is a place in the road on the river your gonna need to veer left eventually coming back to the river. Looks like it washed out a bit and they put a few bucket loads of dirt of to block the road. Hit it hard and your likely to go dukes of hazard into the river.
I'm confused. I thought walk in rules were just a dozen decoys, a dozen boxes of shells, and the tightest choked 3 1/2" you could find so you could take 200 yards shots. Least those were the rules last time I hunted the Carlyle walk in.
