Not Tampa Bay and the 49ers.

Week Nine of the NFL season has shown that just when it appears that things can’t get any worse, they still can. The future of Monday Night Football and the game, in general, is being threatened by the liberal “protests” of players and the league’s response to them.

The boycotting of the NFL was a direct response to players kneeling during the National Anthem. The only people who seem to be unaware of that are the players themselves. Perhaps ratings will get through to them.

This week’s Week Nine Monday Night Football game was the lowest-rated in 10 years and one of the overall lowest-rated in history.

Anybody who would watch those two teams needs help. I'm surprised there is any rating at all.

Yeah...there certainly aren't any Packers fans on the planet.....

Wearing a foam block of cheese on your head is just a fashion statement in Wisconsin.....

The ratings were down because the best player on the planet (who plays for the Packers) is out with a broken collarbone.

As a Packers fan, I couldn't even get through the first half with how much they suck without Rodgers.

Can't buy it....MNF has been a staple for the rabid NFL fan for 25+ years...... I'm sure the protests had something to do with the continued drop. Rodgers is the draw for Packers fans, no question....and Billy in Sheboygan, who is in 4 fantasy leagues and wears Tom Brady footie pajamas to bed is probably a part of the "still watching" group. It's the more casual fan that no longer cares.

Say what? We’re down to Rodgers? Brady, Montana, Manning, Elway, Favre, Marino and Bradshaw are all dead? When did this happen?

I didn't say best player of all time. I said best player on the planet as in currently in the game. Brady has had a better career, but currently Rodgers is a better player, no question.

I am not a packer fan but I agree he was the best qb before going down.

It will be interesting to see:

    a) what the NFL does to honor Veterans today
    b) what the Veterans Day boycott does to ratings
