Niiiiice!!!!! I like the Buffleheads too.

    And Yummy?:scratch

We drove from Wisconsin to hunt the world famous Brant of Atlantic City. The hunting was was simple and easy. My buddy waited for about 2500 brant to swimm into the decoys. He didn’t shoot any of the many banded Brant as he would have probably had a lot of collateral damage.

The game warden checked us and laughed at us when we told him we are from Wisconsin and drove here to hunt Brant. He didn’t even check our guns or licenses he just laughed his azz off thinking that the dumbest thing any hunter would do would be to drive 1000 miles to hunt Brant. It took three boat washes and two months to get the dead Brant/low tide smell out of my boat and garage. Plus we cooked some out there and the dog would not even eat them. When I got home I soaked them in salt water for two weeks and they actually tasted ok after that.

Nice birds :tu interesting on the taste tests as our eelgrass fed black brant are some of the best eating birds in the flyway here. I suppose like other waterfowl, brant are what they eat. Our limited brant season comes in next week and brant hunters from all over will be coming in to take advantage of this historic and traditional hunt.

They are a cool bird. I'd love to hunt them sometime preferably over cork decoys I've carved.

There is really nothing new, kids are bigger, work is busy. I actually thought about driving out there this week but I picked up some autopilot time.

    You get any snow?

I’m a little confused why double bands are used unless their are money Banding again or a study of aluminum vs stainless steel
