We just started using Nexgard, a 30 day pill, this week to fight a bad flea problem that popped up this year and it's working great.

I don't know about its efficacy on ticks, but based on its success with fleas I'd suspect it would work well.

I think we paid about $120 for six pills at Sam's since they were the only local store who had any stock.

So the guys that have seresto, I read in the instructions that it says swimming will reduce life of collar and to replace in 4-5 months not 8 months. My dogs swim a lot and we will probably replace them in 4-5 months just to be safe.

We use Nexguard for tick control. It kills the **** out of them, but of course they must bite the dog first.

I'm pretty sure all of these tick/flea meds require the critters to bite the dogs in order to die. If that's not the case, hopefully someone with some detailed knowledge will post up.

I've got the BLM on Nexgard. And I also spray him down w/ Adams Flea & Tick spray.

Soresto for my spaniel. Chewy saved me $30 over a local chain shop.
