If you looking for a great time add this to your calander..37th annual clam chowder cook off held Feb the 24th for the ams and 25th for the pros in Santa Cruz.

One of our members here on this site "Big Wayne" heads up his team called "4 Men and a Clam" with 3 other guys and a few helpers. They have taken top honors 5 years in a row (going for 6) in the amateur Boston division.

I have had the honor of digging the tastly clams that go into their pot for many years, not only can they dig clams... a great bunch of guys to hang out with... but they make up a mean pot of chowder too !!

So if your in the area stop by and say howdy ! Great place and good times to take the wife and kids ! Good luck Wayne and team... keep my beer cold ! And for you pinky up guys I think they got some kind of wine sponsor this year or something ..

You can catch some of the info on facebook or the flier

Hmm I will be in Monetery that day on a “working” trip. It’s also my birthday so I’m getting kind of tempted to run up there if nothing else comes up. Maybe see if some customers want to drive up.

We will be in the same spot as last year near the Haunted Castle. Come by and see us.

If you are planning to come and don't already know me well, message me before Friday so I can know you are coming.
Be sure to plan on getting to the Boardwalk by 11AM. Coming after that is much less pleasant as you will have parking hassles and won't get the full experience of going around checking out all the booths while they are cooking.
