Anybody heard of Tex Wirtz Decoys?

    I'm not sure, but I think Flambeau bought the original molds to get started with. If you look at their super-mag duck decoys, the mallards look like blown up Tex Wirtz's.

    I don't know how. I don't have any of the Flambeau Super Mags.

    Mr. 7greenheads, what could you tell me about Tex Wirtz. I would have loved to known him. I thought I read the decoys were actually made in Sherbourne, Indiana. I think that is southeast of Indy. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as far as collectability. I love them. I think they were 30 years ahead of their time. At times, there was stiff competition on ebay for them. Not so much anymore. I would be afraid to say what I paid for a pair of canvasbacks. I missed out on the bluebill and redhead last week.
