1st morning hunted the Causeway. Had to abandon Plan A due to encroachment from dip****s and bad weather condition for the particular spot. Went to plan B and scratched out an ugly 3 man limit consisting of 9 shovelers, 2 BWT, 2 gadwall, 4 bluebill, and 1 redhead.

2nd morning went north on a "hot" wood duck tip from a "friend." The tip turned out to be bogus and we managed to scratch down 3. Saw less than 20 all morning.

Any other Bama reports or is this forum officially dead?

Hunted the Causeway friday and killed a few. We had seen lots of gadwalls in our location for two weeks. A few days before the opener, a lot of spoonies moved in.

We resisted shooting the spoonies for about 45 minutes, and then it became clear the gadwalls were not coming.

Shot 4 spoonies, 2 teal and 2 grays.

Bailed out on sunday because of our friday results.

Not around Mobile, but got 6 woodies, 1 bwt, 2 gwt, and 3 snipe between 3 of us on Friday. Didn't hunt Saturday. There were mallards, gadwalls, and a lot more teal around 2 weeks ago when we had that good cold front. The warm days have sent them elsewhere. Hopefully more will show up this week.

Hunted lease in Northeast, Ar and got limits Friday thru Sunday.

Saturday was the best day, my dad and I killed 8 Mallards, 2 pintails, 2 gadwalls, 2 specks, and 1 snow!:tu

Tons of water in Arkansas, just need a cold blast or two to make it be predominantly Mallards over Hollywood Mallards.
