Noticed a field for sale on corner of Shasta rd and Miller city rd. Does anyone know if this is in a good area or hunted there before. Thanks

I used to spend a lot of time in that area, back in the day.

I can't help on that property.

About six miles from my house in a straight line, across from the lake and less than 1 mile from the river.
With out looking at the field first. but knowing where it at I would say it could be made into a great spot.

Thanks for the info. I’m not real familiar with the area. Always wanted my own field but very hesitant to jump in on a piece in an area I’m not familiar with. Any other spots for sale you might know of for sale I would appreciate the help. Only spot I ever hunted around there was Alexander county gun club and that was 20 years ago.

It is in between a few other clubs. One of the better clubs in the area borders this farm. If I had it I would make some changes to the layout of the pits/levees. Years ago this was a good goose hunting club they have tried to transform into a duck club. Problem now is the levee broke about a mile south of there and there are currently no plans to rebuild it by the corp of engineers. Spring floods will determine the quality of crop you get on any given year. Price tag is way on the high end in my opinion.

Thank you for the info. I drove by there the other day and the field looks like a mess to me. Guess pits every 200 yds is the way to get lease cheaper but I would want but 2 or 3 out there. Guess standing flooded corn is the norm these days. Loosing interest in it by the day especially at that price. Any good farms in the area, I’m all ears.
