    I was told by a gun dealer that was also a Browning dealer that the Japanese mdls were better because the Belgian machinery was old & worn out (?!), the Japanese guns were computer made ie: newer machines. They had a much tighter tolerance then the later Belgian mdls. I don't know, all I know is that my late brothers Japanese A5 Stalker was a very nice gun, too bad I his daughters sold all his guns before I could buy any.

    They weigh a ton, but if I could find a 3" 12 with rounded pistol grip and vent rib in mint condition....

    Oh yeah, the Stalker was a Magnum mdl.(3") w/a 26 or 28" bbl, he also had a wood & blued one that was for 2-3/4" only.

    Ha. Sounds like mine. Rounded grip, vent rib, mag, 28” investor barrel and spotless.
