I've been looking to get some more avian-x diver decoys this year but the cans and redheads have been just a bit too expensive in my local stores so I've been holding off. However one of my local stores is selling the sleeper version of the cans and redheads for 20% cheaper than the regular version. My question is would just having sleepers give me less of a chance to decoy divers into my spread? I really like the way the regulars look vs the sleepers but saving $15 would be very nice.

    I don't think they'll hurt or help personally...but if they're cheaper...why not!

The only thing bad about sleepers, is they are a pain to pick up if you deal with freezing temps and ice...if they are individually rigged. You'll definitely need waterpfoof gloves.

I use around a dozen or so sleepers in a 40 decoy Can spread. Usually place the sleepers in pairs during mid-day hunts. Cannot say I have ever had a problem, just need more Cans in my neck of the woods.
