Avian x or dakota

    Cabelas price would have to be low ,because of shipping AND a 8.5% sales tax.

    Yeah I checked out Cabelas and it works out pretty close.It kills us having to pay the sales tax,Cabelas is in our state,almost 500 miles away.What can you do.

    Where are you hunting? Locals or Aleutians? Willamette Valley? I hunted SI until moved to Montana a year and 1/2 ago. I am not familiar with either you are looking at. The HC I have are 2nd gen originals or custom painted newer owner ones I got from Mike at Pac Wings. I have DSD Lessers too. The poses that HC has are some of the best. DSD all the way if you want realism.

    Ive got the Avian X lesser 12 pack sitting in my basement , havent been hunted over, but I bet youd be hard pressed to tell the difference between their 3 times as expensive counter part from 20 yards away.

    When the ground is frozen, I use a dewalt with a long drill bit & drill the holes for the stakes. Takes a little more time but it works.
