Just received a six pack of the new Avian x mallards and I really like them.I like oversize decoys and these are a great size a little heavy but not for what they are.
I think I might buy a dozen and sell some of my others.

Really want some myself. Run strictly Avian-X duck floaters now but it's crazy how much more they cost than the standard size. Damn near double the price.

Are these built the same as the standards. I’m a big fan of my others, particularly the “soft” sides that don’t rub as harshly.

Avian X is the best by far I have had all different brands. I feel like they hold up better than the rest plus if you step on one they don’t look like a beer can they go back to form

Do you really think six oversized duck decoys are more visible to ducks than a dozen life-size duck decoys?
    Hint: they aren't.

One oversize is more visible than one life-size. Six oversize are slightly more visible than six life-size. Twelve life-size are more visible than six oversized.

My experiences tell me this is NOT true on big water, not even close. 12 magnum mallard decoys will pull as many birds as 24 standards on big water, every time. Supermags are in a different league.

I use my magnums mostly in flooded vegetation, flooded millet and alkali bulrush.I think they show up better. It seems to be an advantage as hardly any hunters put decoys right in the vegetation and that's where I see most of theducks.
