    I made 12 of them for around $1 a piece. painted flat black and then heat shrunk some tubing on them to keep from scratching the gun.

    You were right. Good thing I had the hardcore waiting for me at Walmart.

    We have about half lucky duck boards and half tanglefree ground ghosts. Both are pretty comfortable, can't say either is better than the other. We used to use homemade plywood boards and these are a huge step up from those!

    Apparently there are guys shooting themselves in the foot while using boards and placing the gun barrel on their foot. Because of this, I was going to design and build my own gun holder, but the one from Hardcore looks like all a guy needs.

    Yep. I found them at a steal from Walmart. They get the barrel up about 12-14".

    You could also use downspout anchors. They're less than $3 at home depot. They don't sit up as tall but would do the same thing.

    Dip them in rubber. Nice thing about hardcore is they are easy to get in the ground because they have a place to press besides gun mount. I tried to make some from PVC pipe and as (Wapiti I think) predicted they broke immediately.
