Lets see 'em fellas! I know your catching 'em. Some odd weather has gave us a good jump on the season. Lotta fishing left to do, but here's my biggest so far this year:

:tu The License Plate on my younger Brothers GMC reads ONE HAWG which is in keeping with his love of Bass fishing. He was a prolific Tourney Fisherman up and down the Midwest but he died 4 years ago. I kept the Vehicle in memory of him and gave it to my oldest Son who is following in his footsteps.
I've caught some that size and a few that were larger....but....I prefer the FLY ROD and don't fish tourneys.
Did you have that one mounted?

That's awesome that your son is carrying on your brother's passion! :tu

I hear the fly rod is a blast on ponds!

No mount, I let em swim. Weighed light at 5.2. Pretty skinny for the frame. My buddy caught one last year that weighed in at 4, but had the head of monster. He's around 6'2" I believe, so hopefully that gives you an idea of size. The fish looked sickly skinny. Sucks when you get em at their fighting weight! lol

....bankline of a strip mine pond behind him. DANDY BASS though! Looks like it might even be a Florida strain Largemouth that has dropped her eggs and is ready to put some weight back on (baby ducks and muskrats).:tu
