What is the best taxidermy (preferably waterfowl) book/video out on the market? oww much is it and where can you purchase it? The local library has 2 books from like 1975 and I've practicly memorized them:(
    Any help is appreciated:)

    Pintail,

I would say the best video's come from Van Dykes. If you call them up they will send you a free catalog. Actually it has been so long since I have viewed a tape I could be wrong, anybody else? My first video back in the day was quite a low budget affair. Some of the techniques he taught were a little old school, but it was a start. I think I got it from Rineharts(SP?) I don't know if they are still around.

Here are the phone numbers for three different companies.
Call them all and request a free supply catalog.
Go through them and look at the different videos for mounting ducks and also the Breakthrough Waterfowl manual is awesome

    Van Dykes: 1-800-843-3320

    McKenzie's: 1-800-279-7985

    WASCO: 1-800-334-8012

Also go to www.taxidermy.net and click on suppliers and you can then go to their websites.

    Have fun!!

Oh yeah, the absolute best thing is hands on and Harliduck's seminar going to be great for that...don't miss it.
Going to be a little too far for me to drive up for the day...LOL

    Thanks Wildthings....

I wish you could come to the seminar...I could use the help! I knew it wouldn't take you long to find this! A little better than the "other" one, huh?

No, what was it? I stopped going there LONG ago...way too many egos and wierdo's. You can be too anonumous over there so they say the worst things...as you know. In fact I just posted over there telling them about this site, it was the first time in probably a year that I have been there! I hope the good ones come on over......tell you buddies!
