    Revelation 12:11New International Version (NIV)
    11 They triumphed over him
    by the blood of the Lamb
    and by the word of their testimony;
    they did not love their lives so much
    as to shrink from death.

    For many the topic of blood in the Bible finds a wide array of views. We see in the beginning that Cain kills his brother able and near the end of the Bible we see those victorious over evil because of blood. At communion we are remembering Jesus by drinking a cup representing his blood. In the days of Egypt the Israelite's were saved by the blood of a lamb on the door posts of their home. From curses to blessings we find blood. It really is an interesting word in the Bible.
    The Word became flesh. John 1:14 The power of the blood! What do we need it for? When one reads the Bible it has to be always in relation to who it was directed. Jesus Christ and the salvation of lost sinners. From the Old Testament sacrificial system to the New Testament promise its the story of God. We are only saved from evil by something greater than evil itself. Jesus. Oh how many there that have tried to be better. They are brought into thinking they have power on their own. The sinful side of humanity can somehow be brought into the presence of God apart from the singular sacrifice of the Son. Its His righteous blood that satisfied Gods wrath on humanity. Apart from His blood there is no hope for you. John 3:16 The sinless blood of thew lamb is the only salvation offered to mankind.
    John 1:29New King James Version (NKJV)
    The Lamb of God
    29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

    Amen Brother David! Many churches today do not speak of the blood of the Lamb, Christ Jesus. Without it it, we would be lost.
