    Hey BigDucker,

What kinda boat did you have out there?

My dad and I always had bassboats, no Whalers or nothin "cool".
I always had to deadhead on a bunch of boats in SanDiego, I'd get free rides but had to work most days. It was kinda cool, 8 or 10 day trip i'd get to fish 5. Worked out kinda nice, especially when the Q105 headed to Cedros!!! WAHOOOO!!!!!

Wanna tak about a fun trip. We used to run my dad's tourney partners 20ft Ranger bassboat out to Catalina. The 3 of us. Used to pull some grumpy Calico's outta the kelp!!! Full contact fishin!! Mn has got NOTHING on fishin the coast!! Later.

I had a 21' Bayliner Trophy, Center console. Great boat for a low end boat tho. I had a Force 125, a bit small for that boat but it worked just fine. I reach upto 80 miles off the coast of San Diego.

We would leave at 2am and take the 4hr trip to the fishing grounds. Out in the ocean at night is pretty cool, you can't see anything but the dark of night. One night we came pretty damn close to a big *** Cargo ship, it just appeared out of the dark.
