For those that are interested, this was posted on his Facebook page.

A memorial service will be held for Bill on this Friday, February 27th at 11 a.m. at Back River UMC, located at 544 Back River Neck Road, Essex, MD. 21221. Immediately following the service, there will be a reception/luncheon in the Fellowship Hall adjacent to the church. If you need additional information, call Scott at 443-909-9786.

I thought about posting this earlier but didn't. Anyway, there is now even a less invasive test that many insurances cover. You owe it to yourself to get checked.

Bill touched so many lives, this thread is a tribute to honor him, he was a power house of energy, when the glass was 1/2 full Bill brought people together to fill the glass to its brim. We'll follow up to be sure his memory lives on soon ................

    RIP Bill

I'd forget that "Cologuard" for several reasons:

    1. $500.00 - YOUR Ins company MAY NOT pay for that.

    2. If it comes back +POS, you'll still need a colonoscopy anyway.

    3. Polyps are generally the precursor to colon cancer and should be removed . . . so again you'll still need a colonoscopy.

    4. " . . . says Cologuard is as accurate as the colonoscopy in detecting 94 percent of stage I and II colon cancers," . . . THE CONCERN IS TOO PREVENT IT FIRST, NOT TO DETECT IT AFTER!!!

    5. Polys can develop in less than 10 years. I get checked every 5.

GUYS, just get a thorough colonoscopy to begin with and be done with it for peace of mind!

    :)

BTW, preferred attire for the memorial service is camo or fishing attire. Bill would like that and I can hear him say "That's badass!"

A great guy who got the big picture and was passionate about exposing the next generation to the great outdoors. He will surely be missed.
