    Thinking about stopping in birmingham on sat night on way to florida with the family. Is there a have to see spot or place to eat?

    There's a BassPro in Leeds, not to far from Birmingham. Across the highway is some outlets so you can make the women happy. There's plenty of good places to eat around the area.

    Dreamland BBQ is good. If you're looking for something more upscale try Hot & Hot Fish Club or Highlands Bar & Grill. Lots of good places to eat in Birmingham. The Fish Market is good, non-upscale fresh seafood. I rank it up there with anywhere at the beach. I used to live in B'ham but haven't in several years. Somebody that's local might be able to give you some more opinions. I'm just a visitor a couple times a year now. :tu
