Do they harvest many Black Ducks in Minnesota? Thanks.
Annual estimates probably between a few hundred and 1500. And most would be in the Northern to Northeastern to maybe SE River areas.
We have a few that call our Marina in Downtown Duluth home every year in the summer but to say your going to specifically hunt one and shoot one, not so much.
Go East Young Man....Primarily an Atlantic Flyway Duck.
Yeah,I shot a few as a kid in NW Indiana, just wondered if any wandered out to Minnesota.
Years ago, plus 25 years now I guess, we found some in beaver dam one year, that was the only time I have pulled the trigger on one in Minnesota. I have friends in eastern Wisconsin that get them on a somewhat regular basis, I agree further east the better chances.
