Had a great solo shoot yesturday. Shot my first limit of the season and didn't even need a buffie to round it out, lol! :l Finished with 4 mallards and 3 pintails.

    Here's a short video I put together:

    Nice limit.

Typical SE weather from the looks.

Other than the wind, it wasn't too cold actually! :)

Pretty much, we did have more snow than usual, now they are calling for rain so it's going to get pretty sloppy around here. :( As soon as it gets cold again it's going to turn to concrete!

It's a great little boat! I haven't put much time into grassing it up this year. That's why the ends look thread bare.

Enrich. Nice limit and very nice photos. What type of boat do you have there? I am thinking of building a hide boat. Your thoughts? Duckdon

Thanks Don! It's a Marsh Rat made by Mallard Marine out of Oregon. I have the fiberglass model. I really like how this boat hunts. It's low profile, the blind doors work well and it's very stable.

It's a little on the heavy side (90lbs) especially compared to its roto-molded brother but other than that it's pretty slick.

When I get a second boat, I'm leaning towards a MoMarsh DP so I have the added room for my dog. In my situation my dog is too big and I won't risk his hearing or our lives and shoot over him. The DP is a little longer so the dog can sit behind you. 4Rivers makes a boat the same size too.

Building your own is also a great way to go. You can customize it so it's just the way you want it. :tu

Thanks! The grass is getting a little threadbare this year. I need to take some time and spruce it up.

    Here it is last season:

I'm hoping the weather cooperates with another nice high tide this weekend! :pra
