Blues are definitely beautiful birds. I've always wanted to mount one but I wind up breasting them out every time. Very nice specimen sir.

Are they rare in your flyway?

Yes, I’m in California. This was the first one I’ve ever seen and I was lucky enough to shoot it.

I have four mounted. Not sure if I can tell you this. Check out birdman studios mounts, great to get ideas for birds.

I ended up going with a dead mount on my blue goose as I felt the colors would show better and it was the frist dead mount I had done and and love it. It is posted on a thread in this forum.

I'd like to get one someday but until then I'll keep mounting them for the lucky guys that have .... One thing I will say , if your going to spend 400.00 plus on a mount ... a full plum Eagle head blue(like above) is what you want ...
