Anyone use Tiki Thatch Rolls for boat blind?
Picture of my blind frame
Maybe its the picture angle but that looks way too tall and unstable to me.
The size is ok as I hunt alone, made from galvanized steel pipe that's threaded for tight fit, locked down with small chain's. I was thinking about using rolls of Thatch?
We just bought some, it seems just like the Fast grass. We got the 36"x60' roll, Any taller and you stop saving money and it starts costing more than most places for the 4'x4' panels. If you dont need it real tall or you dont mind using more this will work. It is good stuff.
None of my business, I am just some dude on the internet, but here goes anyway. Your blind is WAY too tall, and galvanized pipe is crazy. Are you planing on driving 5 mph to the ramp? If not, don't worry about the cover on the blind, it will most likely be bent to beat hell and however you anchored the pipe to the hull will have caused serious damage, if it is stll attached at all. If you do make it to the ramp somehow, you'll have to stand up to shoot, if anything ever comes close enough to shoot at. Standing up to shoot in the little boat would not be my dream situation. Stop and rethink your direction. Other than that, fastgrass makes a fine blind cover
