was told that there was a boat wreck at hallowell this morning , anyone know anything?
Hit a log, motor kicked up and locked the boat turned and hit a tree. Guy laying in bottom of boat slid into front deck. He was flown to L.R.. Broken neck among other breaks. He has a long road ahead.
That is a shame. Hopefully he has a full recovery.
Bad deal for sure, hate to hear of something like that, I hope it's not that bad and he get's well soon.
That's why you should lay feet first, I cringe at the way some folks position themselves, not considering a sudden stop at full speed.
Not to mention the days of just puttin' along with the 9.9 are over.
Helmet law next, seriously, already a situation brewing with ATV's on Fed and state land.
Sadly, you are correct. It's self-induced stupidity. But that over-grown lawnmower engine just sounds so GOOD running 35MPH through the timber...
Sorry to hear of this guys bad fortune. I hope he has a speedy recovery.
Halloween: Boat wreck looking for a place to happen.
Update. Talked to a friend of the guy that got hurt. He is temporarily paralyzed but the doctors are thinking it's compressed not severed. He is slowly regaining feeling and use of his legs. They are hopeful with time he will regain near full use.
I will never lay down face first in a duck boat again.
