    Without boot lips in the fields of S. AR and N. LA we would have lots of days of looking at empty skies and lonely decoys. Real duck hunters can kill limits of nothing but boot lip hens :)

    Yep, fields full of "other greenheads" abound in the flooded rice and beans across S.Mo. and NE AR.........

    It was the same when I hunted the rice fields in California. We shot sprig, specks, and boot lips. They were all relatively equal table fare.

    Kilt me one of those scrumptious Hollywood hens last night! Been 4 times since Saturday. Enjoyed the heck out of every hunt. Some more bountiful than others, but zero complaints. Come Monday morning I’ll go into a serious funk for a solid 3 weeks!

    Nice bunch of birds, love the color. Good looking dog as well!! Frozen tundra here just ice fishing and coyote hunting! Doing both this weekend!!!

    Crappie numero uno in these parts...not sure how you top it except leave the scraps not to far from back porch so you cap coyote too...
