We are getting ready to start. Bigheads should be easy pickins soon.

Bighead is a type of carp. Kind of like the silver carp.

Unlike about every other state... In MN we are waiting for the SEASON to open....:scratch

Weather has been in the mid 40s and lows in the low 30 and rain wind and snow here since ice out....

BUT cant wait to sling a few arrows! Ill be sure to post alot of pics, im sure we will have plenty as a cold start to the season means a better season later in the year!

We started looking for suckers on Sunday. Still seeing northerns in the ditches so I don't think the suckers have even begun to run yet. Hope to get into some now that season is open. Not much to shoot at on the northern border of the state.

  9. Maybe a stupid question but
Do you guys shoot your 70 lb deer bows while bowfishing?
Got another quick one as well. Guy told me I couldn't bowfish with my Fred Bear Game Over because of the split limbs. Any truth to this?

I don't know the answer on the split limb bow. On you other question, yes I use my 68lb bow for bowfishing if I am fishing below the dam in deep water. If I hunting shallow water I switch to a 30lb bow to keep from breaking or burying your arrow into the lake bottom.
