Bowhunting essentials

    Unscented baby wipes......the cats meow when you gotta go......AND they are great for cleaning up after field dressing an animal.

    Safety Harness.

    1 other thing I always pack is flourescent tape. When I hit a deer and it runs off; if I'm going to give it a few hours to track I'll get down off my tree and mark a few trees in the direction where it went.

    If I'm on private land this isn't as critical, but on public land, you can lose your mark pretty easy. This is a good way to mark which way your deer went.

    Check Wildgame Innovations. Their Halo line isn't $40-50, more like $90-100, but they're the most inexpensive. Dollar for dollar, they're decent rangefinders for the price, and everything you'd need for bowhunting.

    If you hunt early Sept. near your salt marshes and phrag, a thermacell would come in real handy :l
